Diamond Project

Course Information

This vocationally based course is designed as an alternative education project for year 10 and 11 Hackney school learners either excluded or at risk of exclusion.

Learners work in small groups of around 6 supported by a small team of trainers. The learning environment is friendly, supportive and informal. A Learner Support Worker is available on site to help any learners experiencing problems.

During the course, learners are offered the opportunity to attend short work placements in different working environments, such as nurseries, offices, retail and motor trade. These placements allow learners to gain practical skills and experiences in the real world of work.

Additional Support
Learners are entitled to £1 a day snack money and all travel expenses

Course dates and times

Learners attend the course Monday to Friday 1pm to 4pm. On work placements, learners may work longer hours.
