e2e

Course information

The Entry to Employment programme (e2e) is a flexible programme that is designed around the individual learner.  The learner is given a set timetable that can be altered according to circumstance.  Placements and tasters can be added at the appropriate times.  The learner can begin a ‘strand’ that they are interested in and, upon completion, they can review what they have learnt and decide upon their next step.

The aim of the course is to provide training and advice to help the learner ‘move on’ or progress to education, employment or training.  There are progression sessions to help the learner do this.

Training is delivered in a variety of ways.  The sessions are made up of a small group that will not be more than 12 learners.  Sessions are always led or facilitated by trainer.  Training sessions and course sessions are evaluated by the learners on a regular basis.

The learning environment is friendly, supportive and informal. A Learner Support Worker is available to help any learners experiencing problems.

There are opportunities to have 12 week work training tasters, this would be in Media Studies, Construction skills, Office skills & IT, Caring for people, Hair and Beauty and Sports Awards.

Work placements will be arranged depending on the person’s future career interests, in a wide range of working environments.
